A delegation from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), guided by Dr. Tanweer Hussain, PhD., Director of the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), MUET made a significant impact at the Career Connect 2024 hosted by the Sindh Higher Education Commission (Sindh HEC), at Expo Center, Karachi.
With over 100 companies in attendance, the event thrived as hundreds of MUET students and alumni participated. Outgoing students and graduates were facilitated with transport services to attend the event, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the university’s Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization, Alumni Development Cell, and Office of Student Affairs. This collaboration underscored the university’s commitment to fostering partnerships between academia and industry for student development.
During the event, Dr. Tanweer Hussain, along with other faculty members and officers from MUET had the opportunity to meet with Sindh-HEC Chairman, Prof. Dr. S. M. Tariq Rafi. They briefed him about the university’s endeavors to support students and graduates in their career pursuits. The delegation also engaged with company representatives, extending invitations to MUET’s upcoming job fair, and advocating for the recruitment of MUET graduates.
This outreach highlights MUET’s dedication to providing students with diverse career prospects and bridging the academia-industry gap, thereby empowering students for success in the job market.
